A deep dive with Niclas Söör on DoSpace expansion across regional Swedish cities
Coworking isn't just a phenomenon that is growing in capitals and larger cities, but rather a trend that seems to
CONVENDUM, a coworking space provider, is set to open a newly renovated coworking space at Sveavägen 38, adjacent to Hötorget subway station. The nearly 6,000 square meter center, already leased in its entirety to a single tenant, represents a first for the company.
"We notice that companies today see coworking as a way to supplement their own office, as a flexible elastic band when the company needs to adjust its size and be able to offer more – or fewer – employees a workplace. The office should be a place you want to go to, and CONVENDUM knows after many years in the market what is required for an office to promote collaboration, decision-making and provide space for creative business ideas," says Markus Pfister, Property Manager at Skandia Real Estate.
The Sveavägen 38 center, spread across eight floors, features a lounge at the entrance level along Tunnelgatan, a large courtyard, and several tailor-made solutions for CONVENDUM's Big Office customer who rents the entire center and moves in coinciding with the opening on March 1.
"We are very pleased with our establishment at Sveavägen 38, where we have tailor-made an entire office for a company. This is the first time that we are doing a Big Office solution of this size, but certainly not the last! We enable the member company to have its own exclusive office while being able to use the system of our other nearly 20 centers in Stockholm, Gothenburg, and Palma De Mallorca. The good cooperation together with the property owner Skandia Real Estate is shown in the result of our new center," says Oscar Limbäck, COO at CONVENDUM.
